"...well kept Navigation ales and a couple of guests, good reasonably priced food from breakfast on, friendly service..." The Good Pub Guide 2017
I visited Cross Keys on the 16th September 2015. It has to have been the best meal I have ever had, the flavours of the food were mouth watering and lovely and light, you are full but not uncomfortable full leaving. I took the Fish Platter which is for two which I didnt know at the time but my husband had to help me out. The young man that served us was an exceptional barman, My husband doesnt drink much and only likes a light beer. The barman brought him two to taste to see which he preferred which is not done in many places. He was well mannered and knew how to do his job well, he is a great asset to the Cross Keys. He was tall with a beard, I unfortunately didn't ask his name. We have been to Nottingham over the last five years but only came across this Pub/restaurant this time but we will be going here anymore when we are over in Nottingham. Thank you to the young barman and to the catering staff for the mouth watering food and service we recieved.
